A Special Taverna in Halandri Athens.

It's a tavern in Polydrosso Halandri. Classical Greek family with a classic Greek taverna name.... "Manolis".

Since 1975 "Geraniou" family has a single priority, to make delicious food and to serve you in the most pleasant way. You enter the place, smell the wood and immediately feel an intimacy and warmth. On tables you will find checkered tablecloths and small pots of fresh herbs.

People in Manoli's taverna know each other and like to make long conversation from their tables.  In the next room, the feeling is changing slightly. You can see photos of bands like Depeche Mode, OMD, China Crisis, Kraftwerk, HIM, Sigur Ros that have visited the taverna from time to time.

Spyridoula is making wonderful pies, like pumpkin pies and which are simply amazing. Chick peas in pot with cumin, eggplant imam, cuttlefish with spinach and other specialties which make you resistant to stop eating.

Manolis is the head of the barbecue. A delicious Grilled burger and fillet sardines are my favorite dishes. He also makes and marinated anchovies and potatoes cuted by hand.

The four boys of the family take care of your service and I have to admit they are the fastest (especially when hungry) and the most humoristic guys in there.
