Tsagarada Pelion is the largest village in Europe due to a very wide spread its inhabitants and its history is very odd, according to locals.

The eastern side of Pelion, which includes Tsagarada was inhabited very late through the centuries. No more than 300 years have passed since the first residents appeared in Tsagkarada. Cornelius, a villager told us that many different tribes came gradually in the area, Cretans who left Crete because of vendettas, people from Chalkidiki, Turks convicts exiled to the region and generally people who wanted to hide themselves.

For this reason the East side of Pelion has no common identity, nor tradition, nor music, nor food, does not like to congregate or team-up. However we found many people to discuss, open and hospitable, who helped us and took care of us a lot.

Trees, streets, hydrangeas, paved streets, squares with enormous trees, water running beside you, beautiful mansions and villas, cicadas, beaches both organized and virgin, mushrooms, chestnuts and kokoretsi, are some of the things you can enjoy in Tsagarada.

We stayed at the Lost Unicorn, a Guesthouse built by craftsmen from Epirus, where we enjoyed nature, cool nights and beautiful mornings, when we enjoyed our delicious breakfast!

We went for a swim at Fagkistra and Mylopotamos beach, visited the port of Damouhari, we found the secret school built inside a rock and had our drinks at an amazing bar, the "Skala Bar", owened by Comnenus from Thessaloniki.

Tsagarada mon amour, we shall be back!
