Konitsa Mountain Hotel at Zagorohoria

The Konitsa Mountain Hotel is located at the highest point of Konitsa. It’s a town of about 3.000 residents, 64 miles north of the city of Ioannina. When you enter Konitsa Mountain you realize that this is a very sophisticated modern building with traditional elements harmoniously integrated into the environment.

The interior impressed my with its luxury, with wood and natural stone elements to create a particularly " warm " feeling. Our room was the "Red Suite", a beautiful room of ​​approximately 50sqm where the living room with its fireplace, the bedroom and the bathroom with a two-person jacuzzi, were finely placed to make you feel like a king.

The room offered you all you would ever ask or desire and even the most demanding customer you have been pleased. The morning buffet consisted of traditional delicacies, home made marmelades and bread.

The view from the balcony was magical. The town of Konitsa was lying in front of us and river Awos was crossing the plain. Apart from building infrastructure , the benefits and the " hospitality " of the people in our hotel left us with the best impressions.

The surrounding area is great for those who love the mountains and the rivers. We visited the nearby villages of Zagori region, we walked on trails and admired the beauty of nature.

We epispeftikame villages in the area of Zagoria , walked trails and admire nature in the area. We were impressed with the local architecture and the settlements in the area , which still keep their authenticity and true Local character, missing any modern interventions.

We also crossed river Awos down with a canoe, an activity i higly recommend. the river Awos.

The short amount of time we stayed there (3 days) was the only negative thing i can imagine. Three days are not enough. We got back home keeping the best impressions and images from this lovely weekend of relaxation, sightseeing, activities and quality services.
