Εστιατόριο "Βατράχια" κοντά στο χωριό Κάστρο, Σίφνου

I went to Vatrahia restaurant near Kastro Village at Sifnos island, after a full day at Kastro village, where we enjoyed the view and the dips at the chilled waters at the rocks under the church of 7 martyrs.

Vatrahia is a small but fine restaurant built next to the small port of Seralia, next to the Kastro village. When you reach Kastro village, you will find a road on your right , which will take you to the small bay of Seralia or Yialos, where you will find Vatraxia restaurant.

The tables are limited, so don't get disappointed if you find the place packed (Call for reservation at 22840 33047). Floreta, the owner of the small restaurant, is an expert on Mediterranean dishes. This atmospheric restaurant has opened in 2005 and since then it is sharing with the world special dishes based on local fish and vegetables.

Yoou should try the beetroot salad with yogurt, kalkania from Vosporous, Calamari cooked at the Wok, tartar with Salmon and Fresh fish of the day. Enjoy a selected wine and try the sweet dishes the staff will serve you. You can go during the day for lunch , but i strongly suggest to try it for dinner, as the atmosphere is getting more romantic being lighted with candles.
