In the hidden part of Heraklion, Crete

Heraklion is the biggest city in Crete, with many residents, companies, hotels, tourists, big buildings, which makes it look more of a city rather than a holiday place.

Although, you can always argue that every place has its hidden beauties, so if you are looking for the extraordinary and if you dig a little bit under the surface, you will find this place i am going to describe you in the rest of the article.

At the west part of Heraklion, not very far from the port, you will find the traditional part of the city. Small houses, yards, cat and birds that sing, narrow roads, locals that are having their coffee near the road, big houses with great architecture, colourful walls, fountains and many other small little things that make this neighbourhood special.
